Pay back signing bonus?
Do BB banks typically go after signing bonuses if an analysts leaves prior to one full year? Know it says so in the contract, but was wondering which banks actually ask for it back.

No, call their bluff. Just don’t call JEF’s.
Know you’re asking about analyst but at the associate level I’ve only seen it done when there’s a high level of turnover. Not about the $$ at that point but setting a precedent so others don’t think they can get away with it too.
So in general they let it go? Does exit plan factor at all (e.g. going to competitor vs. IB vs. client vs. opening a basket weaving shop)?
Haven’t been able to find too many (recent) data points at the associate level.
