Pay during FT training
Hi, just got informed that analysts are not being paid for licensing exam studying. Curious as to how it is across the street. Do you guys get paid for your study time during training?
BTW we are not salaried until licensing so training pay on an hourly basis--something that none of my friends at other banks seem to have.
First time i've heard of this. What type of bank are you at?
Once you start FT training, you are a full time employee and are paid according to your offer. Exams registration fees are refunded after you pass them.
lower tier BB--think UBS/WF/Nomura--offer specifically stated contigency on licensing exams with prorated pay before actually hitting the desk
I’m guessing this is Nomura. Since when did WF and Nomura become a BB?
In AM, but have friends in IB who all at other BBs are getting paid hourly for the time they spend on the FINRA exams during training and post training, immediately move to salaried regardless of their FINRA status.
That is what I thought the case was--upon asking, it's hourly for 8 hours/day and any self-studying for the FINRA exams outside of that is not supposed to be logged.
Lmfao what kind of bank is this? What a joke
My bank is also paying us hourly during training but we can log our hours for studying and we get 1.5x OT...feel bad for you bro
Haha, tell me about it. We have OT on paper but capped hours after the time has already been put in.
