PE Recruiting

I have heard mixed things from multiple recruiters regarding PE recruiting timeline. Does anyone have better insight than the below:

Option A) September for both the Incoming FT analyst class and A1

Option B) September for A1 and then down the road for the Incoming FT analyst class

Thanks

Can anyone give some advice on approaching PE recruiting from a less prestigious bank? I’m at a place like Lincoln/Stifel/etc.

On paper, everything else is really strong on my resume for PE recruiting. I went to a top ivy, have a 770 on my GMAT and a perfect ACT score, and have totally justifiable reasons for ending up at the bank im at (death of parent during recruiting, wanted to be in the city I’m in instead of nyc because of it), and have a PE internship at a well known UMM firm from my sophomore summer.

How can I give myself a shot at UMM/maybe even MF firms? I’m worried I won’t get any header hunter outreach so I’ll miss the boat completely. I’m totally confident that if I’m given a chance to interview, I will be able to sell myself to a PE firm, I’m just worried no one will even look at me because of my bank.
