Perception of MIT Undergrads in IB?

Was just curious to know the general perception of an MIT undergrad, both to recruiters and after they've been hired as full-time analysts. Are they dismissed as nerdy/asocial? or are they generally well-received?

Do recruiters know that a 3.7 at MIT is likely as hard to get as a 3.9 at many other places? is this accounted for?

The only people that are dismissed as nerdy/asocial are people that are nerdy/asocial.

Your undergrad institution is treated simply as a gatekeeping mechanism by HR ie. do you or do you not go to one of the schools we think smart people come from. If you check the box (MIT does), you will be given the opportunity to demonstrate that you're not a weirdo.
