Prep Courses for Incoming Summer Analysts
I am looking to buy/enroll in an online course ahead of my summer 2026 IB internship. I want to refresh my knowledge of everything I learned during recruiting now over a year ago and maybe to learn a little bit more job specific material/modelling. I am working in capital markets at a firm where it is a part of their banking devision. Are there courses more angled to prep for the job (IB general) or capital markets specific vs just interview prep? or are there interview prep courses that would be recommended ahead of the job? I never bought one of those online modules for interviewing so I am not totally sure the depth they go into or how applicable they would be. Just generally trying to understand the best prep courses or if they are worth it at all (im sure this forum may be a bit partial to wso) as they are not cheap! open to also hearing of other ways to prep for the job to feel as comfortable as possible going into it to make my life slightly easier once I hit the desk.
For incoming summer analysts looking to prepare for their internship, especially in capital markets within an investment banking division, here are some highly recommended options based on the most helpful WSO content:
1. WSO Courses for Job-Specific Prep
2. Interview Prep Courses (Still Useful for Job Prep)
3. Advanced Industry-Specific Programs
4. Other Ways to Prep
Are These Courses Worth It?
Yes, these courses are worth it if you want to feel confident and prepared for your internship. They are designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, making your transition to the desk smoother. While they may seem expensive, the investment can pay off in terms of performance and confidence during your internship.
If you're looking for a more capital markets-specific focus, the Modeling & Valuation Bootcamp and Investment Banking Training Elite are your best bets. They provide a solid foundation and practical skills that align with the demands of your role.

I think ahead of the summer getting reps is the most important. There are a couple websites that are cheap and sell tons of modeling case studies, including "the financial modeling desk" (full tests with answer keys, can personally vouch for). WSP is good too if you want a full-fledged course, but way more expensive ofc
BIWS Platinum plan is worth the investment. My internship used it to train me and I was allowed to login to it at home as well. I'd honestly just pay the one time fee so you can use it for buyside recruiting etc.
