Old version had retro chic, looked badass strapped to the back of an HP-12C (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/th…)
New one is very generic. Globe = not America = weak, no freedom (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/…)

Low. Old one looked more prestigious
When I saw their ugly new logo slapped across somebody's LinkedIn announcement, I was immediately relieved that I went with my Nomura sushi-station offer.
Heinous logo now. Looks so generic.
it's actually the GCA advisors logo (bank they acquired last year)
They straight up used the same font and color as Rothschild's logo lmao
Haha, well unfortunately for them, Rothschild's logo comes off as regal and fresh, while theirs looks like crap.
Heard from someone there that the intent with the new logo was to provide more of a tech company feel. They're also currently re-doing their NYC office and plan to have it be like an office Google would have
Since when?
Where did you hear they’re making it Google-esque?
Right now its literally just cubicles and desks lol.
Someone at HL who is involved
I love this post because shit like this is actually infuriating haha
Think of how much money and man power went into completely neutering and sanitizing a perfectly fine logo to create what amounts to a parody of modern corporate genericness
Nah, the logo could be a M&A consideration from the GCA acquisition
