Private membership clubs - London
As the tittle says, any decent membership clubs in London?
Looking to network, have a place where to party on the weekends, have nice dinner/lunchs, and with smart/interesting people.

What are you going to do - walk up to an established group of friends and say “Hey, I’m X, what do you guys do?” London doesn’t work like that.
How would you recommend meeting people in London then?
What I’d do is have lunch/dinner with a group of friends. You don’t stress about making reservations 1 week in advance, and you always know you can go/bring friends there and you will have fun.
I'm not thinking of networking with 40yr old PMs/MD, but people from 24-30yrs old who just want to meet other people. I don't consider that crazy. Have met a bunch of funny finance bros on cuckoo for example
if you're new to London and wanna make friends, how would you do it then? what would you recommend?
I'll kick off a couple of suggestions. Soho House is the predictable one, but I like their venues.
67 Pall Mall is focused on wine and holds specific tastings and such, so (if you enjoy wine), you'd have a good chance of meeting new people, a non-awkward topic of discussion to get to know them, and it's a nice venue.
Issue of course more broadly is that you'll need reference to become a member of either (or others, which might be tricky if you're new to the city.
Isn't soho house against bankers as members?
Historically yes, but I think its less so compared to a few years ago
Agree with the other reply - used to be positioned as toward creative industries, but as long as you have a reference now and a palatable story they'll accept an introduction

How much is it for a year? Issue is its in the city…
Have you heard of twenty two?
annabels
Agree, but they told me its more for VPs. People there are +34yrs old. But good club tho
It’s like 5k, plus an extra few hundred quid every time you acc go there…gonna set you back like 9-10k for the year if you go there once a month. Vaguely know a guy who’s a member but he comes from wealth… I wouldn’t spend that much even with good comp/carry. 10k a year can go a long way, even for someone on 300k.
Currently looking at a few - any thoughts on Annabel's, Harry's, RAC, East India?
East India - Men only. Facilities not amazing. But good for a cheap pint. Food is so so. Generally an older crowd (older being 50+)
RAC - excellent facilities. Generally a broader mix of people and younger crowd. Lots of social events and good food.
Don’t know too much about others
Whites.
Never heard of it. What’s their thing?
Loulou’s is great for young people!
Home House is really nice in Portman Square (Marylebone), and quite nice to go out at night
Alfred’s in Mayfair is probably the most class one I’ve seen.
Annabelle’s probably the most exclusive, however targets an older crowd (you would be out of place if you go there being 21 as a man, average is likely 35-40)
What are the similar clubs for NYC? have heard soho house. Alumni clubs?
