Let me know when they work on a US deal buddy
Can’t you use google
Nothing to be found bud
Pretty solid performance from their EMEA Telecoms team recently (considering it’s also very small), they also got the DGF 7B restructuring and the Maso / Vodafone Spain fiberco (6-7B) within a year
Let’s see if they keep it
DGF restructuring was done by their restructuring team - nothing to do with the Telecom team in Paris. Telecom team in Paris is ok but naturally very French focused.
Thank you for the colour.
In your opinion, which bank do you think offers the best digital infra experience for a junior?
Their telecoms team is London based - Free Groupe deal was (surprisiingly) brought in by their London telecoms team
PWP has always been quite solide in EMEA (esp in France/Germany) regarding Infra/Telco/Industrials deals tbf
Agree, but their German Office also lost Schenck (who's now at LAZ and crushing it) and in general banked a lot on its historical performancs. I'm not aware of any huge deals they did in industrials / Germany in the past 2 years (covestro / adnoc & Bosch Hitachi come to mind, but that's it)
Did not know Schenck left. He is probably one of the best bankers in the region. Big loss for pwp definitely.
Industrials - yes, especially in Germany.
Infra / Telco - not really in the same league as most BBs - they just don’t have as wide coverage and lower deal flow volumes as a result…but they have done a deal here and there in the telco space in France, especially with clients they’ve been close to for some time, like Orange, Altice and Iliad / Free. Stephane Richard (former Orange CEO) and Gilles Tre-Hardy are both partners in the Paris office, contrary to what a comment above says about their telco team being London-based (where they have mostly junior and mid-level bankers providing support)
For wider pan-European deal flow and experience, you need to go elsewhere. Your experience with PWP is likely to be niche at best
