Question about KPMG structured finance

Hello all,

I have the 2nd round coming up and I want to be clear about a couple things.

From my understanding, SF group basically produces different securities in order to alleviate the company's balance sheet and risk ( CDO, CMO , etc)

However, isn't this what ibankers do? I am kind of lost on how the SF group differs from what banks do. What are their roles in each?

Thank you.

Eric

Ibankers underwrite and issue CDO and all those Structured finance vehicles, the KPMG group does consulting: buy-side valuation, tax consulting, accounting consulting and post-deal valuation,...so basically, a buyer will hire this group to perform due diligence for him before he buys those CDOs from the banks. This group will also make sure that the underlying collateral of these CDO are valid...good luck... you should do a search on this group..there are tons of them in here
