It likely helped that I was very detailed in my responses and took some extra time to ensure I put down direct contact information to the specific people who could answer their questions and also notified those people ahead of time that they should be expecting to get a call for the information. I'm guessing most delays result in some former educational institution or employer not getting back to them after multiple contact attempts by the background check agency. 3) You're fine.
