Question for the peanut gallery

I was perusing LinkedIn and came across this most unfortunate fellow that tried connecting with me. Apparently he's a coach who helps people land IB internships despite not having landed anything himself. Can someone tell me WHY anyone would use their service / advice if that same individual couldn't make it in?

Ah, the old "those who can't do, teach" conundrum, eh? It's a valid question. In the world of finance, credibility often comes from personal experience and success. However, it's important to remember that teaching or coaching and doing are two different skill sets.

A coach might not have landed an IB internship themselves, but they could have a deep understanding of the process, the requirements, and the strategies that can increase one's chances of success. They might have studied the industry extensively, have connections within it, or have a knack for helping others present themselves in the best light.

That being said, it's always wise to do your due diligence before investing in such services. Look for testimonials or reviews from previous clients, ask for a detailed breakdown of what the coaching program entails, and weigh the potential benefits against the cost.

Remember, there's no one-size-fits-all answer in the world of finance. What works for one person might not work for another. So, take your time, do your research, and make the decision that feels right for you.
