Can confirm this is true. Santander is unequivocally the up and coming Elite Bulge Bracket Boutique like the Royal Bank of Canada but more prestigious due to its Spanish heritage (think the Spanish Armada in the 1500s that demolished the Great Britain). Ultimate royal tier bank therefore. 

 

Everyone going to santander for the guar bonuses is just gonna quit in a couple years when they fail to get any serious traction.

Good move though getting a guarantee this year or last to be insulated from generally pretty bad comp

But hard to come back from having as shitty of a brand as Santander on the resume

 

Unless your a top top top performer expect a bad bonus. Bonus pool isnt usually adjusted for these things so basically you’ll get the stale peanuts at the bottom of the barrel
