Random chat with HR???

Hello everyone,

Been in the interview process with a large firm.  I never had an HR screening call.  I was reached out to by the person on the team who seems to be running the hiring process internally (I was recommended for the role by a mutual work connection).  Have done a couple interviews including in person with all the juniors and seniors.  Also did a modeling test and case study.  Was told by a MD after my last in person interview that I wouldn’t have to do anymore interviews for the job.  Randomly got an email from HR asking if I had time to have a quick chat to discuss the job.  In everyone’s experience would this most likely be a call to discuss an offer?  In my previous job someone on the actual team has reached out to me via phone call to extend an offer.

Thanks for the help!

That happened to me. Interviewed with the entire team without doing screening call. They’re just doing it as a formality to check a box but it seems like you have an offer. Congrats

Could be a discussion about comp, start date, or anything similar. They might also send you a pre-clearance regulatory questionnaire. But this seems like the process before receiving the offer and after passing all the interviews, so dont worry
