Ranking Wells Fargo IB Groups CLT: Which Place Well – Top Dawgs?
Incoming SA at Wells Fargo IB Charlotte heading into group placement . Trying to get a realistic read on how the groups stack up for someone targeting buyside eventually.
How would you rank them on:
- Deal flow / modeling reps
- Exit opps (traditional PE especially)
- Lateral mobility to BB/EB
Also curious how people view the cap markets groups (LevFin, ECM, DCM) for a buyside path. Any color on which groups have the strongest deal flow or place best would be much appreciated.

LevFin, M&A, PUR, FIG are top groups. No ECM group in CLT to my knowledge.
