Rare Liquid IB Bootcamp — anyone done it? Worth it vs WSO's $5k program?
Doing a masters at a top London program this year (think Oxford/LBS) and trying to get IB recruiting sorted properly instead of winging it. Been looking at Rare Liquid and noticed they've got 4 different pricing tiers, which I haven't seen broken down much on here.
The bottom tier is $1,000 and seems to cover (which I'm most interested in):
- Technical practice and modelling drills
- Inside look at interview/superday processes at the major banks
- Group calls and chats for tracking progress with other candidates
No 1:1 tutoring at that tier (that's reserved for the higher packages), but it still looks fairly structured, not just a PDF dump and a Slack channel.
Honestly, I don't want to drop $5,000 on the WSO course when this seems to cover the essentials without the extras I'm not sure I'd actually use. Has anyone actually gone through the $1k Rare Liquid tier and can speak to whether the technical content and mock process actually holds up? Also curious if people think the lack of 1:1 time is a dealbreaker for someone who already has some markets/deal exposure, or if the group format is enough at that price point.
Would rather spend money efficiently here than pay for prestige I don't need!

Ask Claude or ChatGPT and search on this website which guides to use to prep for IB (BIWS, 400 Qs etc) - then search and find PDFs of those and study and review. Then ask Claude or ChatGPT to give you a plan to break in.
You don't think it's useful to have insight into internal recruiting processes? I always figured it would be useful to hear from people that work in the banks themselves that can give advice.

Ah sorry - didn't realize it was a masters program. Regardless I don't think spending $5k on a program is worth it when you have AI + lots of information on WSO to leverage
