can anyone comment on more Canadian banks (think National, Cannacord, societe general, paradigm, Desjardins)?
CIBC announced they are committed to their interns on Linkedin via recruiter. Scotia and BMO emailed all their interns that internships will continue. No word on TD and Societe Generale is not a Canadian bank.
TD NYC S&T sent an email today to interns saying they are honoring offers
soc gen sent an email saying everything was going to continue as normal ,but that was sent a month ago no update since
National is keeping interns, no word on start date yet.

Another strong move from these guys before many of the other major banks. Just goes to show the trajectory that we've been seeing for the last three years. Often getting a lot of shit for being Canadian "nice" guys but they've certainly made a name for themselves here. European banks must decide if they want to slowly concede their advisory practices in the US take or make a counter-push. Barclays seems to be the lone survivor in this regard.

Brookfield Asset Managment Toronto is doing virtual internships. got the email yesterday. Friend of mine also got an email saying scotiabank is honouring internships.
Good for RBC, gotta love those Canadians.
Canadian banks always crush it in recessions. RBC in particular really exploded (in a good way) after 08/09.
