RBC vs WF vs UBS (All in NYC)
I am trying to understand which of these banks would be the best choice for M&A. I was hoping anyone could share insight to the reputation, deal flow, and exit opps of each of these NYC offices?

UBS by far. WF and RBC are generally on the buy-side and is just providing financing to sponsors, which of course isn't a bad experience but you'll see a lot more sell-side reps at UBS.
Work at RBC and not going to opine on what to choose but I work in a coverage group and do 75% sellside M&A and the remaining 25% split between equity / debt
Do you think that is unusual for your team?
It depends on group - something like PU&I or energy (not my groups) is going to do a lot of M&A vs some of the other groups. A lot of tech is buyside financing / capital markets for instance.
Are you assuming you’re going to get WF in NYC? Lmao. Placement is a shit show.
Thanks for addressing the question that was asked
