In reality, this probably means nothing like all the other oddly specific situational questions that intern applicants post on here. At some point, kids have to wise up and realize recruiting isn't some crazy shit where you can predict an outcome through astrology and veils of HR communication. It's simple - wait to see if you got an interview, then do well on it. You can usually figure out if you are going to get an offer when they tell you whether you are getting an offer or not.
