Obviously it doesn't hurt to reach out; but in your case I would definitely try to set up alumni calls for OCR. Many banks have "deadlines" at specific schools but have in fact already selected candidates to go through accelerated processes - the BB I summered at has a deadline for early October on my campus but several people already have offers.
Several people from your school already have offers from the BB that you summered at? Despite them not having summered there?
There are juniors on campus who have received and accepted offers for next summer already, to clarify. They are non-URM
Hey Kaz, does this apply for IBD as well? I'm not sure anybody at my school (ivy target), are part of an accelerated process for BBs, besides diversity candidates. I'm just curious because I'm really interested in working at your bank and even have a referral there for IBD OCR recruiting, but now I'm wondering if my chances are diminished because I'm not part of an "accelerated" process and I'm just applying based on the normal OCR schedule.
