Reasons I chose an EB over Goldman Sachs
1) Far better Pay, everyone knows EB's pay way better than BB's
2) More prestige, my firm is ranked higher in online prestige rankings than Goldman Sachs
3) I'll be the cream of the crop, I'll have a bunch of idiots that I can tell about my Goldman Sachs interviews
4) More interesting work and more interesting people, all the hardos go to BB's
5) Better Exits
Lastly the most important reason of all
6) I didn't get an offer from goldman sachs

I don’t see EB as more prestigious than a top BB like GS
Ask your relatives or friends who aren’t in finance what moelis is. They won’t have a clue. There goes your 100 hr work weeks -> no validation and no prestige
Bro if you just want to impress your relatives/friends, working in IB isn't the move. They'd be more impressed with a job at a big tech firm and probably think Blackstone/Blackrock are investment banks
