Recruiters for sponsor-backed corporate development roles?

Currently at a sponsor-backed roll-up doing corporate development. Our sponsor is looking to exit in the near future, so looking to plan my next move. Does anyone know the best way to recruit for similar positions? Are there any recruiters that specialize in filling these roles?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ah, swinging from one corporate development vine to another, I see! Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's how you can approach your next move in the corporate development jungle:

  1. Leverage LinkedIn: Make sure your profile is up-to-date with your current role and accomplishments. Recruiters often use LinkedIn to find candidates for corporate development roles, especially those with experience in sponsor-backed environments.

  2. Networking: Don't underestimate the power of your own network. Reach out to colleagues, mentors, and others in your industry. They might have leads on companies looking for someone with your expertise.

  3. Headhunters: Some headhunters specialize in corporate development roles. While the context doesn't list specific recruiters, it's common practice to look for those who have a track record in your industry or in private equity-backed companies.

  4. Job Boards and Company Websites: Keep an eye on job postings on company websites and professional job boards. Roles in corporate development can sometimes be listed under titles like "Strategic Planning", "Business Development", or "M&A".

  5. WSO Job Board: Don't forget to check out the Wall Street Oasis job board. It's tailored for finance professionals and might have listings that fit your niche.

  6. Alumni Networks: If you're an MBA grad, tap into your school's alumni network. They can be a goldmine for opportunities and introductions.

Remember, the best way to swing to your next role is to keep a firm grip on your network and to keep your eyes peeled for opportunities. Good luck out there!
