Woah. Overachiever in the house. Not until October at the earliest.

seriously? even online applications?

Why in god's name would you want to apply for an internship program that isn't for 13 months? Don't you... you know... want to put in details about what you're able to accomplish between now and 5 months from now?

Yeah, that's a good point. I just want to make sure I know when it starts so I can make sure I'm on my game as soon as it arrives.

Enjoy your summer, things don't get rolling until early October.

online deadlines don't mean shit. unless you're an absolute stud, you're going to never even get a call back. spend your time networking so you don't have to apply online.

At our school, JPM deadline is sometime next week. :|

for SA

"I do not think that there is any other quality so essential to success of any kind as the quality of perseverance. It overcomes almost everything, even nature."

most if not all BBs (know for a fact that GS, Citi, JP, and UBS do this) run accelerated processes in late summer for previous interns with exploding deadlines for the next summer, and a larger accelerated process in the fall for top candidates and study abroad students. dont know what you mean by 'application' and 99% of the online apps are never read (rare exceptions exist, of course) - just follow your OCR deadline if youre at a target and network now if youre at a nontarget

For someone at a semi-target (can't apply thru OCR as a soph) who has networked with mid- to senior-level people at BBs through informational interviews, how do you recommend applying? Some of these people asked for my resume and others did not, but generally it was "keep me updated on your progress through recruiting season." Does this really mean, "apply online and notify me when you do so it won't get ignored?"
