Regional MM or EB?
Which would be a better choice between: staying at a regional generalist MM that has a good culture, decent hours (~60hr/wk) and pays average, or move to an EB in SF that would have longer hours but pays well?
Not looking to go into megafund. More interested in mm or lmm pe.
Depends what you prioritize. If you value prestige and comp a lot more and are willing to put in the hours, then lateral. Otherwise, it sounds like the MM group is good.
If the 60 hours and average pay is real, I would not move given your goals. If you were dead set on maxing our mega fund chances obviously a different calculus
