Resume: Failed M&A vs. Equity

Quick question on resumes and was hoping some of you guys who have gone through PE recuriting could help me out (no dice looking at M&I).

It's clear PE only cares about your M&A work, but would you list on your CV smaller failed M&A deals or high profile equity deals? I currently have the failed deals on mine but was curious as to what others have.

Thanks

^Agreed.

Worth mentioning, however, that headhunters, who act as gatekeepers for PE firms, have an unjustified boner for deals that have at least been announced. Even if you were the lead analyst on a failed deal, running a complex model and handling the CIM, the 1st-year analyst who fortuitiously landed on a deal about to be announced and did bitch work while the 2nd-year analyst did the heavy lifting will get preferential treatment from the HH.
