What are people's thoughts on putting pitch experience in a resume? i.e. detailed M&A pitches / bakeoffs I've been on the desk a couple of months now and am looking to lateral now given the lack of deal experience group wide... but I'm struggling to fill out my resume. I haven't been on a live process, only a handful of official/unofficial processes and a couple of deals that died within the first 2-3 weeks. It really sucks and don't know what to do with updating my resume. Does putting pitch work on your resume make you seem like an idiot? How have people written it traditionally (i.e.

Upfront I’ll say that even in a raging bull market, it’s hard to have any credibility as a 2-months-of-experience analyst with 0 closed, in market, or even live deals. In a recession where you’re competing with laid off BB and MM analysts that've run model and marketing on deals pitch-to-close, you’d have to be a prodigy to get looks. You might have to put in more time, but if your group is slow enough that in 1 year you still won’t have anything, advice below. If you haven’t won or been mandated any roles, you can’t say “financial advisor” or “sell-side advisor” in your deal labels.
