So last year I accepted my return offer and planned to move but haven’t yet because we’ve been working from home. I thought about re-recruiting but the middle of covid was not the time to turn down an offer. Now it’s time to return to office and I’ve realized that I really don’t want to move to that city and I feel stuck/unhappy.

Are you looking to lateral or are you moving?
No way I could afford to do that or take that risk. I’m a first year and fine with my group itself. Can’t let a city/social life get in the way of an opportunity especially when so many others on this forum are stuck in total sweatshops. It’s life I’ve come to terms with it’s okay to feel alone imo.
