If you’re surrounded on a dark sidewalk by a group of hostile people and one of them throws a drink in your face (which by the way, you don’t even know what is in it), I think it’s more than reasonable to assume that there was a threat to your person. It seems to have been a complex situation with several moving pieces and basically all parties fkd up in some way (pushing the guy and throwing unknown liquid in his face is also not a-okay…) — this put Moelis in a tough spot and now someone hired the guy for cents on the dollar… probably had the legal proceedings quadruple-checked & diligenced and came to the conclusion that the guy is not untouchable. Good to see that even if you fk up, you can recover — still makes for a good joke tho…… :)
