Rothschild is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious investment banks in Europe, often considered the "Goldman Sachs of Europe" due to its strong brand name, historical significance, and dominance in the region. Based on the most helpful WSO content, Rothschild holds a top-tier reputation, particularly in London and across multiple European countries like France, where it consistently ranks #1 for M&A deals and equity advisory. Its alumni network includes high-profile individuals, such as former French Prime Ministers, which further enhances its prestige.

When compared to elite boutiques like Centerview and Evercore, Rothschild's prestige is more regionally focused. While Centerview and Evercore are often ranked higher globally, especially in the U.S., Rothschild's European dominance and strong deal flow make it a top choice for those targeting the European market. However, in the U.S., Rothschild is generally considered a step below these elite boutiques in terms of prestige and deal flow.

Very very prestigious in continental Europe, especially France. They have dominated league tables in France for years and are second after GS this year. Great deal flow but their strategy is to do volume, whereas CVP/PJT do way fewer deals but more complex and bigger ones.

If you have a Rothschild offer, do not hesitate and go for it.
