In short, have a 3.445 GPA. Would this be unethical to put as a 3.5 since technically if you round two decimal places it rounds to a 3.5 (3.445->3.45->3.5), but nobody really does that? However don't want to get fucked by the 3.5 cutoff if I put below.

if the transcript is to 2 decimals than i'd go with 3.5 because there will be no proof of 3.445 unless HR does the math themselves lol

Look I know people will say no, but think about it - 3.5 is literally the gpa cut off and looks much much better than a 3.44
While HR asks for transcripts no one is going to scrutinise your grades that harshly. I think it's okay to put a 3.5 and just go for it.
Why not just go one more level of rounding and take that 3.5 to a 4?

I feel like for most recruiting 3.5 is the cut off. Even if they have a minimum of 3.0/3.2
At most recruiting events they announce that the cumulative gpa of everyone... and it’s always been 3.5 or higher. Not saying it can’t be lower, I’m just saying.

My guy, I already know I have to study and I have been. But this post took me a good 5 minutes to post and read through over my summer break. I admitted I fucked up last semester and I intend on turning it around now, but posting a WSO to ask for time-sensitive advice isn't taking away from that. I know you love to sound funny on WSO as a hobby, but you could spend a bit of time really thinking about the facts.

I would just abstain putting your GPA period. If they ask for it just pivot and demand to know how much the position will pay and insist your work life balance is your #1 priority. This will exude confidence.
