Recently looking into rpi as my choice for college. Does anyone know where it stands as a target/non-target school?

RPI is a non-target. You should do some digging on forums here regarding what Target/Semi-Target/Non-Target schools are. Plenty of resources.

Probably as non target as you can get
Seems to have a good alumni network with some head guys at jomorganchase and morgan stanley

I know a guy who went to RPI who's at GS now, but who had a stroke of luck when it came to getting his first job. There are much easier roads to the street, and much less expensive as well. Firmly a Non-Target.
Definitely not a target. It's an engineering school.
