Alix is there, look at Tier 2. PWP I didn't know what to put as, haven't heard enough about them to put a little blurb

 

Couple of reasons I think based on what I've seen:

  1. A&M usually isn't in the "spotlight" but controls outcomes
  2. In my exp, the board usually cares more about who gets fired tomorrow, if they'll make payroll, what plants close etc over valuation theory so they listen to A&M over the advisors you see
  3. They're hired before or instead of firing management (but they then fire the management)
  4. They disappear once the job's done

So basically they exercise outsized control, operate behind the scenes, are trusted a lot and replace mgmt without formally replacing management
