RX is about to boom..
Is RX the place to be with the AI scare and possibility of massive labor displacement? In other words, does anyone on here think the opportunity set will be massive for restructuring bankers?

bump + with an rx boom do you think we will start to see the rise of specialized RX boutiques (ie Tech RX)
Think for consultants there may be more of this specialization occurring but not for the bankers beyond a couple of very niche boutiques(eg Seabury.) There's more room for actual differentiation on the operational side even in sectors that are seen as rather easy to model in banking, such as in retailers which continue to makeup a good portion of bks. Outside of the big 3 there is some specialization in rxco already, BRG is very well known for retail restructuring for example. There also are a couple of banks/crypto/FIG specialized MDs/subgroups within the rxcos, while on the rxib side you would probably see them looping in their coverage groups instead.
Think the RX consulting side has a headstart on + more space for specialization. A&M RX for example rolled out a subgroup dedicated to DeFi & FinTech recently, and ended up securing some massive deals, and some other rxco firms are following in a similar direction. Personally, I don't see that happening at that scale in IB.
