SA Overtime Pay

Just realized that my SA offer at an industry boutique has nothing abt overtime comp or anything abt overtime whatsover. Is it standard?

If not, do I do anything abt?

P.S. Im glad I have an offer these day, just wanna make sure that Im not getting screwed over

I’m figuring actual overtime I did it a few times at my past internship but was told that it comes out of the teams budget as opposed to the company wide SA budget

Someone implied to me bc of that not to record overtime but that was AM so not sure how it works at your firm

I feel like maybe depending on how many overtime hours you do, maybe its better not to step on any toes but then again prob industry dependent

Pretty much every SA gig works like that, even at top firms. The only place you might see extra comp is if you go full-time and there's a bonus tied to performance, not overtime

Most BBs offer OT. Some like Wells pays 1.5x while others only pay 0.5x (most)

A regional boutique or small shop without an established SA and ANL programs most likely won’t pay OT unfortunately. Mostly just comes down to each individual firm and how your contract is structured.

If you have offer in hand (email) I would reach out excited and say something along the lines of “After reading the offer there were a couple things I wanted to ask about” and ask about OT pay and anything else you’d like to.

They won’t rescind offer right after giving you one for asking
