Saas Backlog Revenue Model

Fellow analyst friends,

I am trying to model a Saas company and projects its revenues. I've been given "revenue backlog" for the next 5 projection years and "expected converted revenue pipeline" for the next projection years. I don't have much experience modeling Saas companies and never really encountered the revenue backlog questions.

How would you go about projecting the total revenue in the next 5 years? Would I base my projection year revenues on the "revenue backlog" and "expected converted revenue pipeline" values provided to me as the assumptions?

Your help is greatly appreciated!
