Saying "Yo" in the office

With people starting to go into the office at my bank, I think it's time for this discussion on office decorum. I say "Yo" a lot. I didn't grow up on O block, but it's just something my friends and I have always said. Maybe it's a bit more engrained in our culture nowadays? Nonetheless, my real question is as follows: Is it ever okay to say "Yo" in the office? Obviously, don't address an Aso + as "Yo", but would I get side eyed if someone overheard me say "yo" to a fellow An?

Or that weird looking intern who's really quiet, he definitely doesn't fuck.

its me, i'm that intern

I think the tone in which you say it can influence your question. "Yo what up bro?" can be different than "Yo have you checked out that slide of the deck?"All about your relationship too regardless of position.

I would not ascribe to that pedagogy - saying yo, hello there, what’s up with it, good morning etc. all has the same meaning. How do you normally greet your co-workers

OP here - I didn't do that. I mostly posted this because it was funny and I wanted to see some hot takes.

But, to defend my honor, you literally went to JHU for business (now that i'm actually reading your posts). So lame bro. Pretty sure their biggest fraternity is the lacrosse team. Soft
