Scheduling Medical Treatment
For context, I have an autoimmune disease that when it flairs, requires me to get an infusion, then another two weeks later. They're usually scheduled on Friday at either 7am or 1pm (I try for 7am usually) and they take about 4-6 hours. They load me up on benadryl at the beginning so I wouldn't be able to work from the infusion center for the first 1-1.5 hrs, but I could for the remainder of the treatment.
How should I approach this when I start working full time? I don't necessarily want to disclose to everyone that I have an autoimmune disease, but it is a large chunk of the day dedicated to a medical treatment will require some notice in advance. Any advice on how to approach this would be helpful.
