Scotiabank Houston

Hi, Does anyone have more information about Scotiabank for their Energy group in Houston and what deal flows/reputation/exits opportunities look like?

It would also be really beneficial if someone could comment on how COVID might have affect their strategies in terms of plans of a shut-down, or a specific reduction in their class size.

I've heard some of their more reputable MD's left for Evercore and a few other shops around town, but they seem to have a really good junior culture from what I've been able to gather. Can't comment as to recent deal flow or how COVID will affect future ops but in the past they have been on some interesting cross border M&A work. Classes aren't too big but overall solid shop with good exits.

Have spoken to some of their analysts/associates. Those with whom I spoke seemed very down-to-earth. At the time, they mentioned being staffed on some cross-border O&G M&A, which seemed cool for a Houston office
