Secured 2027 SA Internship - What Should I Be Doing Now?

Hey everyone — would really appreciate some advice from people who’ve been through this.

I’m currently a sophomore and was fortunate enough to secure a 2027 Investment Banking Summer Analyst offer at a BB / EB. Obviously very grateful, but now I’m a bit unsure how to think about the next year.

Main things I’m trying to figure out:

• Does it make sense to still pursue a 2026 internship, or is that unnecessary once you’ve locked in junior summer?
• If it does make sense, how do people realistically find something this late?
• Are cold emails to boutiques / smaller firms the move?
• Should I be networking or just focusing on technical prep / school?

I guess I’m just unsure whether the correct play is:

(A) Relax and enjoy having recruiting pressure off
(B) Aggressively hunt for relevant experience
(C) Spend the time purely on skills / modeling / markets

Would love to hear how others approached this. Feeling a bit lost on what actually matters at this stage.

Thanks in advance.
