Senior Banker Comp for ECM/DCM and Corporate Banking?
Anyone know the general range for a VP/D/MD in ECM/DCM? Is it slightly lower than other groups?
Also, what does the comp for corporate bankers look like at the later levels?

Career Resources
Interned in a top LatAm DCM team
I don’t know any exact figures but my superiors obviously make a lot of money.
I’d estimate my VPs make 400k a year (salary+bonus) on the low end to 550k on the high end.
Director probs makes 800k
Head of capital markets for LatAm at my firm easily clears over a million
I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that the dealflow is very active (except while im interning unfortunately)
What are the hours like?
the markets are frozen during the time that I've been interning but
analysts get in at around like 8 and leave at like 7-8
associates get in at around the same time and leave at around the same time, maybe a little earlier
VPs get in at like 9-10 and leave at like 7
director at around the same time, typically they leave a little earlier than the vp
keep in mind, debt markets in latam have gone to shit. no clue what the hours are like when a deal is happening but I've heard that the hours are still really chill
This is inaccurate.
VP 1 is likely in the mid-to-high 200's. VP 3 is likely mid 300's.
Directors generally make 400k minimum - with upside on deal flow activity (if they are actually sourcing).
The variance in comp for capital markets/corporate banking vs. core IB continually increases are you get promoted.
Your figures are inaccurate. Associates easily clear 200k
Associate 1 is $200-$210, Associate 3 is probably $250-275k.
Most say corporate banking doesn't pay close to ECM, but most say capital markets pays pretty close to IB coverage isn't this true?
ECM pays well at top groups (there aren't that many). Most banks' ECM teams make well below traditional IB - especialyl at the VP and up level.
