Series 63, is Knopman’s textbook necessary

Hey all, up until this point I’ve passed my other finra exams without ever reading the Knopman Marks textbook. However, Knopman specifically mentions repeatedly in their materials that for the series 63, reading the entire textbook is essential to pass. On other exams, they said you don’t have to read the book and instead watch video lectures and key concepts.

Are people easily passing the 63 without reading the book? Or are the video lectures and practice questions enough again. Thanks

I would personally recommend reading chapters 1, 5, and 6. The videos (especially for ch. 5/6) are not that good and there are a few concepts that I remember seeing on my exam that weren’t covered in the vids. Shouldn’t take too long at all and is well worth the time
