Series 7 Preparation

Hi all,

I know there are a plethora of threads regarding Series 7 preparation, but I was hoping I could create this thread to ask a few additional questions. For reference I am using Knopman Marks to prepare.

  1. Is reading the textbook vital to passing the test? I didn't read the textbook for the SIE/S79/S63 - but only the S63 had Kaplan questions (which definitely weren't as strong as the KM questions)
  2. Does recommended prep follow the same pattern as the other test? (videos + summary > qbank for days)
  3. How accurate did you feel the QBank was to the actual test? (Kaplan AND KM assessments)
  4. How does the difficulty par with SIE and S79? (assuming a partial discount due to the previous knowledge from SIE/S63/S79)
  5. Lastly, what do you guys personally believe is a healthy time-frame/timeline? (ex: 80hr, 4 weekends + 2hr weekday, 20% textbook + 20% videos + 10 notes + 50% questions)

Thanks in advance!
