Series 79 without passing the Series 7 first
Looking to take the Series 79 and 63, and haven't been able to find if you need to pass the Series 7 prior.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Is this for IB? You will take the 79 and then the 63 after. You will not take the 7.

I'm in CRE now, and looking at a RE/IB position that looks for 79 and 63 preferred or gained within 6 months. I wanted to make sure that you didn't need 7 as a prerequisite.
Just a little fyi: I'm pretty sure you have to be sponsored by a firm to take the 79. Regardless once you do pass either exam you have to start working at a firm (I think within 1-2yrs) for the licenses to be authorized.
