Should I be worried yet?
Got a call from a BB last Monday telling me that they want to set up a final round videoconference interview for SA in Asia Pacific and will get in contact very soon.
Didn't hear back by Wednesday so I emailed them and they said they need to figure out the time slots for interviews and will get in contact by the end of the week, and interview would be the following week (this week).
Still didn't hear back yesterday so I emailed the HR contact and boom, automatic reply that she'll be out of the office on vacation till Friday this week.
There are no other HR contact throughout the process that I could email and I am getting worried.
Should I be? Are banks usually pretty organized and stay on their timeline?
More importantly, if they tell you you have an interview, does it mean that you WILL have an interview?
If they tell you that you have an interview, you will have it... and personally I don't think that you will get it this week because it is Chinese New Year now... Will not be surprised at all if most ppl are out of office for holidays or vacations...

Had a similar experience. Never ended up hearing back. I think I know which BB you are talking about because all the others actually come to the US for recruiting.
other HRs may be on holiday too. u know, the chinese new year holiday ...
yeah its the new year break for most of the asian countries and most pple will clear/take leave during this period (about 2 weeks? so expect them to be back the following week)
