Should I do an internship abroad?

Bit of background. I’m a rising senior at a non-target that’s well known for its international business program in the US. As part of the international business program I’m doing an accelerated masters as well, essentially making me a sophomore for recruiting purposes. I’m studying abroad right now during the summer, hence taking the accelerated masters as an opportunity to do a SA role.

I have the opportunity to intern abroad in the DCM group of a large Italian bank, which sounds like a really cool opportunity that’s once in a lifetime.

My question is whether it would be worth to do, in terms of leveraging it for a FT offer at a BB post-masters in the US. Do recruiters/banks look differently at banking experience abroad, or could it be something to help my case?

If anyone has dual experience working abroad and in the US I’d be interested to hear your take, thanks!
