Should I lateral from shitty BB group to MM

Finished my first year in a bottom tier BB group, hours and culture are bad (think 90-100 every week, no protected weekends, always pitching, no live deals, etc.) and been talking to people I know at a MM bank (think RBC, Nomura, Santander) and there may be an opening. For reference top bucket bonus I got this year is lower than my other friends at BBs and haven’t taken any vacation in my first year.

Thoughts?

Yes, your WLB and mental health will thank you for it. I think if you're working 70-80 hours a week, the only way to justify it is if you get solid deal experience. If not, it's time to move.

WSO should be renamed to UBS hating forum. No but seriously am an actual analyst at UBS, would not classify UBS tech as anywhere near the worst cultural or hours groups, its maybe the chillest traditional coverage group in NYC. The brutal UBS groups are LevFin (top group), Industrials (top group), HC, and FIG. I would know as I am in one of the groups I listed
