Should I nepotize

I went to a semi target and finished 2 full years of IB and just quit after clipping my bonus. My dad is a CEO for a public company and has friends at other adjacent ones. I made the final round for a few startups on my own but didn’t pan out so I’m thinking I just use the network and considering the dynamics I’d likely be promoted quicker down this road and maybe will go for an MBA in 2 years. Thoughts?

At the end of the day you’re the one who wakes up everyday and lives your life. You overestimate how much other people think about you, or care. Nobody thinks about you. Everybody is busy in their head the same way you’re in your head about this.

One of the worst interns I've ever worked with was a nepo baby. He showed up to work late, left early, and half-assed the work that he did do.

One of the best interns I've ever worked with was also a nepo baby. She gave 110%, which because she was also whip smart meant she produced great work, and never complained about the hours.

You get to choose whether you want to be a Jayden Smith, or a Nick Cage.
