Should I sign my sublease for the summer or no?

I still haven't been told whether my internship is going to go remote or not, even after trying to ask HR of the company numerous times. I also, still haven't signed my lease (luckily) because of the coronavirus back in March. What should I do? I'm planning on working for a regional boutique so I really don't know and they've been pretty vague as well. The start date is the beginning of June.
If I sign it and they move me to WFH, then I will lose $900 per month. If they don't go remote, then I will be stuck trying to find a place last second.
