Anything equivalent to the SIE is not worth taking until you have to during training. 
 

People tend to argue it’s impressive / shows initiative if you have it on your resume while recruiting for internships but there are MUCH higher ROI things to do with your time (network more, get better at technicals, get better at excel). 
 

plus, anyone who’s taken it knows it’s just bs about retirement accounts, tax benefits, and opening brokerage accounts.
