SIE for Incoming FT Analyst

Hello fellow monkeys,

I am an incoming FT analyst. I recently got an email from the onboarding team and was told that it is highly recommended (although not obliged) that I take the SIE exam before the training program in the summer. Is this common? Do most people take it before their training in the summer? Thanks in advance.

Yes. Started this past summer. Lot of entry level analysts had to take it prior to training. They should supply you with the training materials.

Would not think so but i guess it depends on the bank. I haven't heard of anybody having to pay for their own materials or the sign up fees. Lot of banks hire professional instructors to come in and give you the info you need to know.
