SIE June 1st - No Appointments

Just got my voucher this morning from Knopman to register for the SIE and my firm has a recommended deadline of June 1st. No appointments are available before June 1st and I leave for a month long Asia trip on Monday. Will this reflect poorly on me or should it be okay since its a recommended deadline? Should I let HR know? Would appreciate any insight

So when will you be able to take it, and importantly when do you start? Mid June is no problem, July 10th is kinda an issue - no one will care if you pass, but if you fail you will be in trouble since you won't be able to take the other exams on time.

I wouldn't email HR - email Knopman as they're responsible for your exams. You just have to make SURE you pass it as you'll start having issues if you fail. I.E. bring the book to asia and read a few chapters on the plane.

Also if there's any other testing centers like 2-3 hours away I might just bite the bullet and get it done by June 1 so you're not worrying

I don't get back to the states until July 5th and I start July 11th so I'd take it the week I get back either the 7th, 8th, or 9th. Not to get ahead of myself but I highly doubt I'm going to fail it. Also I just checked all test centers within 100 miles nothing available in the next 3 days so I guess my only option is to take it once I"m back
